tattoo aftercare instructions

remove saniderm 3-5 days after application. remove earlier if the bandage is leaking, or if there are any signs of irritation (redness around edges of bandage, itching, burning sensation, etc). try not to pull straight up from the skin, but instead in a downward motion, stretching the bandage until it's loose. another option that may help is removing under warm water.

remove bandage 1-3 hours after application. do not re-bandage. rinse with water and pat dry. start aftercare the following day. 

• wash at least once a day 
• wash if otherwise dirty (from working out, pet hair, etc)
• wash with clean hands 
• pat dry with clean paper towel
• use any preferred unscented soap
• use any preferred unscented moisturizer 
• protect it from the sun
• wear loose fitting clothing around tattooed area
• keep dry and clean 

• soak in any water for at least two weeks
• pick at or itch your new tattoo
• use too much moisturizer (can cause fallout and infection) 
• rub dry with a towel
• re-bandage your tattoo
• expose to direct sunlight for at least 2 weeks

touch ups can be done at any point past 3 weeks healed. the tattoo must be fully healed, or it will be very painful and cause unnecessary trauma to your skin. touch ups are free with me for the first 3 months. healed photos anytime after the 3 week healing period are greatly appreciated!
